Barry Newman brings extensive experience in technology and investment banking as well as insight into Internet and media business trends to SonicSwap's board. Newman is currently a partner at NeoCarta Ventures. Prior to joining NeoCarta, Newman was Vice Chairman of the Technology Group at Bear Stearns, and the Head of Global Technology Corporate and Investment Banking for Banc of America Securities.
Michael Sheppard brings extensive CRM, sales, management, and business experience to the SonicSwap board. Sheppard was formerly VP for Asia Pacific & Japan operations for J.D. Edwards
Ted Cohen brings over thirty years of experience in the music, entertainment and technology industries, and helps guide the company's direction in digital entertainment, and strategic partnerships. Cohen is co-founder of the TAG Strategic consulting firm, advising companies in digital media and entertainment across music, movies, television, mobile, infrastructure and media monetization. Until mid-2006, Cohen was Senior Vice President of Digital Distribution & Development for EMI Music where he was one of the very first major-label executives to embrace and support digital music distribution.
Board Advisors
Mark Garrett is SonicSwap's chief financial advisor. He is Executive Vice President and CFO of Adobe Systems Incorporated. Before this, he was EVP and CFO for EMC/Documentum and CFO and VP of finance for two consumer-focused Internet startups: Fogdog and Homestead.
Gayle Sheppard advises SonicSwap on CRM, sales and business development. Sheppard was CEO of Ketera (formerly MarketMile), and served as VP of worldwide sales for J.D. Edwards, and VP of strategy development for Peoplesoft. Sheppard is currently Executive Chairman of Saffron Technologies
David Lee is SonicSwap's corporate counsel. He is a partner at the law firm of White & Lee in Palo Alto.
